Russian drone strikes educational institution in Sumy community
Oleh Hryhorov, head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration, announced this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"A hostile UAV attacked an educational institution in the Sumy community. As a result of the attack, there are injuries," Hryhorov wrote.
He added that buildings were damaged, and emergency services are working at the scene. The extent and details of the destruction are still being clarified.
The acting mayor of Sumy, Artem Kobzar, posted on Telegram that a young man sustained a leg injury and had been hospitalized.
Andriy Yermak, head of the Office of the President of Ukraine, also responded to the Russian drone attack on the Sumy educational institution.
"In Sumy, the Russians attacked one of the city's educational institutions with a drone. Terrorists masquerading as a country called Russia," Yermak wrote.
The Sumy Regional Prosecutor's Office later reported that six people were injured in the drone attack on an educational institution.
"According to the investigation, on July 14, 2025, at around 11:00, the occupiers attacked one of the educational institutions in Sumy with a drone. As a result of the enemy strike, six people were injured," the statement said.
