Russians shell Khotyn community in Sumy region again, woman wounded

Russian troops shelled the Khotyn community in the Sumy region. A 74-year-old local resident suffered multiple injuries. 

This was reported on Facebook by the head of the Sumy Regional State Administration, Oleh Hryhorov, according to Ukrinform.

"The enemy attacked the Khotyn community again. A 74-year-old woman was injured as a result of the shelling. The elderly woman suffered multiple injuries. She was taken to the hospital, where she is receiving all the necessary medical care," the official said in his post.

He believes that such attacks are further evidence that the enemy is targeting the civilian population. The head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration reminded that evacuation continues from areas that are constantly under enemy fire.

He urged all residents of the border area not to neglect their own safety and to evacuate to safer areas.

As reported by Ukrinform, Russian troops are deliberately targeting energy and gas facilities in the Sumy region, leaving nearly 20,000 consumers in 147 settlements without electricity.
