The Security Service of Ukraine (SBU) has released unique footage of Operation Spiderweb that destroyed or damaged 41 Russian strategic military aircraft.

The SBU published corresponding footage on its website, Ukrinform reports.

"As a result of the 'Spiderweb' special operation, which was personally overseen by President Volodymyr Zelensky and executed by SBU Head Vasyl Maliuk and the Service's personnel, 41 Russian aircraft were hit. A significant number of them were irreversibly destroyed, and some of the damaged aircraft will take years to repair," the statement said.

The released footage shows FPV drone strikes by the SBU on four enemy airfields: Olenya, Ivanovo, Dyagilevo, and Belaya. These bases housed the strategic bombers of the aggressor state, which regularly launches strikes on peaceful Ukrainian cities. The list of affected aircraft includes A-50, Tu-95, Tu-22, Tu-160, as well as An-12, and Il-78.

During the operation, a modern UAV control technology was used, which combines autonomous artificial intelligence algorithms and manual operator input.

"In particular, some UAVs, upon losing signal, switched to carrying out their missions using AI based on pre-planned routes. Upon approaching and engaging a designated target, the combat payload was automatically triggered," the SBU said.
