
Russia’s invasion killed 630 children in Ukraine
The Prosecutor General’s Office reported these figures on Facebook, according to Ukrinform.
"As of the morning of May 26, 2025, official data from juvenile prosecutors confirm that 630 children have been killed, while more than 1,960 have sustained injuries of varying severity," the statement said.
The highest number of child casualties has been recorded in the Donetsk region (645), Kharkiv region (492), Kherson region (208), Dnipropetrovsk region (242), Kyiv region (146), Zaporizhzhia region (181), Mykolaiv region (119), and Sumy region (139).
On May 25, Russian shelling in Korostyshiv, the Zhytomyr region, killed a 12-year-old girl and two boys, aged 8 and 17, while injuring a 14-year-old boy.
In Kharkiv, a strike wounded a 14-year-old boy the same day.
On May 25, eight children were injured in the Kyiv region, including girls aged 10, 13, and 17, and boys aged 8, 10, 11, and 13.
That same day, a 17-year-old boy was injured in Mykolaiv following a Russian strike.
As previously reported, on the night of May 25, three children from the same family were killed in a Russian attack on Korostyshiv, Zhytomyr region.
