Russian drone strike kills woman in Kharkiv region

A Russian drone struck a private home in the village of Kozacha Lopan, Kharkiv region, killing a 63-year-old woman on her birthday.
The Kharkiv Regional Prosecutor’s Office reported the incident on Telegram, Ukrinform reports.
“According to the investigation, around 17:05on May 24, an enemy drone hit a private residential building. A woman who lived in the house was killed. Today was her 63rd birthday,” the post reads.
The type of drone used is currently being identified.
A pre-trial investigation has been launched under Part 2 of Article 438 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine — a war crime resulting in death.
As previously reported, Russian shelling Kharkiv region claimed four lives and injured seven others over the past day.
