Russian airstrike on border village in Sumy region kills woman, injures local resident

Russian forces launched guided aerial bomb (GAB) strikes at the border village of Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy region, killing a woman and injuring a local man.

The attack was reported on Facebook by Head of the Sumy Regional Military Administration Oleksandr Hryhorov, according to Ukrinform.

“Today, the Russians once again struck the village of Velyka Pysarivka in Okhtyrka district with GABs. As a result of the attack, a 51-year-old woman was killed. My sincere condolences to her family and loved ones,” Hryhorov stated.

He added that a 43-year-old man was injured and is currently receiving medical assistance.

The airstrike also damaged residential buildings in the village.

As previously reported by Ukrinform, Russian forces carried out nearly 130 attacks on Sumy region over the past day, injuring one civilian.
