AFU shoot down 41 Russian drones, 35 more are vanish from radar

The Ukrainian Defense Forces have shot down 41 Russian drones, and another 35 UAVs have been lost.

According to Ukrinform, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in Telegram.

Starting at 23:00 on Sunday, May 18, Russians attacked Ukraine with 112 Shahed-type attack UAVs and various types of imitator drones from the following directions: Briansk, Kursk, Shatalovo, Orel, Millerovo.

The air attack was repelled by aviation, anti-aircraft missile troops, electronic warfare and unmanned systems units, and mobile fire groups of the Ukrainian Defense Forces.

As of 09:30 on Monday, May 19, air defense neutralized 76 enemy Shahed-type UAVs (and other types of drones) in eastern, northern and central Ukraine. 41 UAVs were shot down by firepower, 35 were locally lost/suppressed by electronic warfare (without negative consequences).

The consequences of the attack were recorded in Kharkiv, Sumy, Donetsk, Cherkasy and Kirovohrad regions.

As Ukrinform reported, the infrastructure of one of the enterprises in the Shostka community of Sumy region was damaged as a result of an attack by Russian drones.
