Netherlands pledges EUR 500M to Ukraine for Drone Line project

Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans announced on Sunday that the Netherlands will provide EUR 500 million to support Ukraine's Drone Line project.

Brekelmans shared this on the social media platform X following a meeting in Kyiv with his Ukrainian counterpart, Rustem Umerov, as reported by Ukrinform.

“Crucial is our €500 Million for the ‘drone line’: drones Ukraine urgently needs to stop Russia at the frontline!” Brekelmans posted.

He also informed Umerov about an acceleration package of EUR 2 billion in 2025.

As reported by Ukrinform, the Defense Ministers of Ukraine and the Netherlands, Rustem Umerov and Ruben Brekelmans, held discussions on defense industry collaboration.

According to Umerov, the Netherlands has committed an additional EUR 3.5 billion, with a substantial portion earmarked for security assistance to Ukraine in 2025.
