Netherlands to speed up release of EUR 3.5B in aid to Ukraine

The Netherlands plans to speed up the disbursement of its pledged financial support to Ukraine.

EUR 2 billion will be provided this year instead of 2026, as originally planned, Ukrinform reports, citing France24.

"The Netherlands will speed up the release of its promised 3.5 billion euros ($3.78 billion) of support for Ukraine and send 2 billion euros this year instead of in 2026," a spokesperson for Dutch Prime Minister Dick Schoof said on Thursday.

Earlier, Schoof stated that discussions at the Paris summit were not only about peace and security in Ukraine but also about peace and security in Europe.
