UPDATE: Missile strike targeting Sumy leaves 74 injured, including 14 children

As a result of a Russian missile attack on the city of Sumy, 74 adults and 14 children were injured.

The number of people injured in the attack on a residential area in Sumy has reached 74, including 14 children, according to the City Council.

Emergency headquarters will be deployed in two local kindergartens to provide assistance to those affected.

"In these same educational facilities, residents of damaged apartments could spend the night," the city council reported.

Several high-rise apartment blocks and an educational facility sustained damage.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, citing the Sumy regional military administration, a missile attack targeted the city of Sumy around lunchtime on Monday.
