Zelensky on Dobropillia shelling: These strikes prove Russia’s goals remain unchanged
According to Ukrinform, this is stated on the Facebook page of the head of the Ukrainian state.
According to him, on the evening of March 7, the Russian army fired two ballistic missiles at the center of Dobropillia, Donetsk region.
“After our services arrived at the scene, another strike was launched, deliberately at the rescuers. This is a vile and inhuman tactic of intimidation that Russians often use,” the President said.
“Unfortunately, we know about 11 people who died. My condolences to the families and friends. More than 30 people were injured, including 5 children. Eight five-story buildings, an administrative building, and a fire truck were damaged,” Zelensky emphasized.
He thanked all the emergency services, police, SES, and doctors who, despite the threat of repeated attacks, are not afraid and save people from terror, and all those who protect lives by risking their own.
According to the Head of State, “such strikes show that Russia's goals are unchanged. Therefore, it is very important to continue to do everything to protect life, strengthen our air defense, and increase sanctions against Russia.”
“Everything that helps Putin finance the war must break,” Zelensky emphasized.
As Ukrinform reported, Donetsk region mourned the victims of the Russian combined attack in Dobropillia on March 7.
