Ukraine, Poland develop joint defense action plan – Umerov

Ukraine's Defense Minister Rustem Umerov announced during a press briefing in Warsaw on Thursday alongside Poland's Minister of National Defense Władyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, according to an Ukrinform correspondent.

"We have developed a plan under which we will work on both urgent and long-term projects," Umerov said.

He added that Ukraine and Poland can now implement critical defense industry projects and have already identified priority areas for cooperation.

Both ministers also discussed strengthening Ukraine's air defense.

Umerov thanked Poland for its military, diplomatic, and economic support since the beginning of the full-scale war. He highlighted the strategic importance of Poland's logistics hubs in Rzeszow and Lublin, which facilitate the flow of military aid to Ukraine.

"We will work in the strategic sphere to strengthen the defense capabilities of both countries," he said.

As part of its continued commitment, Poland is preparing its 46th military aid package for Ukraine, worth over EUR 200 million.
