War update: 98 battles in past day, most Russian attacks recorded in Pokrovsk sector

The General Staff of the Ukrainian Armed Forces said this in a war update as of 08:00 on Tuesday, February 25, Ukrinform reports.

Yesterday, Russian forces launched 85 airstrikes on Ukrainian positions and civilian areas, dropping 117 guided aerial bombs. Additionally, they carried out approximately 5,000 shelling attacks, including 108 strikes from multiple launch rocket systems (MLRS), and deployed 2,438 kamikaze drones.

Airstrikes targeted areas such as Halahanivka in the Chernihiv region, as well as Huliaipole and Kamianske in the Zaporizhzhia region.

Over the past day, Ukrainian missile and artillery units struck three Russian troop and equipment concentration areas, a command post, and a Buk-M3 air defense system.

In the Kharkiv sector, Russian forces attempted to breach Ukrainian defenses twice near Vovchansk.

In the Kupiansk sector, Ukrainian troops repelled 11 enemy attacks near Petropavlivka, Zahryzove, and Nova Kruhliaivka.

In the Lyman sector, the enemy launched six assaults, attempting to advance near Zelena Dolyna, Borivska Andriivka, Novoliubivka, Dibrova, and Katerynivka.

In the Kramatorsk sector, Russian troops attacked twice near Chasiv Yar and Stupochky.

In the Toretsk sector, 11 enemy assaults were recorded near Toretsk and Krymske.

In the Pokrovsk sector, Ukrainian defenders stopped 28 Russian assaults near Vodiane Druhe, Promin, Pokrovsk, Leontovychi, Kotlyne, Udachne, Molodetske, Nadiivka, Troitske, Andriivka, Tarasivka, and Ulakly.

In the Novopavlivka sector, Russian forces carried out 13 attacks toward Kostiantynopil and Burlatske.

In the Huliaipole sector, one enemy attack was repelled near Novopil.

In the Orikhiv sector, Russian troops attacked Ukrainian positions three times near Mali Shcherbaky and Kamianske.

In the Dnipro River sector, Ukrainian forces repelled two enemy assaults toward Sadove, preventing further Russian advancement.

In the Siversk sector, no active Russian operations were observed.

In the Volyn and Polissia sectors, no signs of Russian offensive group formations were detected.

Ukrainian forces continue their operations in Russia's Kursk region. Over the past 24 hours, Russian forces conducted 34 airstrikes, dropping 43 guided aerial bombs, and carried out 375 shelling attacks, 17 of which involved MLRS. Ukrainian troops repelled 11 enemy assaults.
