Another 78 people evacuated from Donetsk region

On February 17, another 78 civilians, including 14 children, were evacuated from the frontline communities of the Donetsk region.

That’s according to the Donetsk regional police, Ukrinform reports.

“As many as 78 people, including 14 children, were evacuated. The police are communicating with the military on logistics routes for the rescue of citizens,” the report says.

Law enforcers recalled that since the start of the full-scale invasion, the White Angel police special unit alone has successfully evacuated over 10,100 people, including 1,356 children. In addition, police officers from this unit have provided assistance to over 500 wounded people and delivered more than 500 tonnes of food.

As reported, the Donetsk region remains under constant shelling by Russian troops, resulting in daily casualties and damage to civilian infrastructure, including homes, businesses, and energy facilities. The Donetsk region has the longest front line, which is about 300 km.
