The Russian occupation forces are reinforcing their troop formations along the front line, particularly on key attack directions.

According to Ukrinform, this was stated on live TV broadcast by Ruslan Muzychuk, Spokesperson for the National Guard of Ukraine.

"The enemy is currently focusing its efforts on reinforcing troop formations, especially on key attack directions. This includes not only motorized rifle regiments and brigades leading assault operations but also artillery units, tank divisions, electronic warfare (EW) units, and drone operators along the front line. These reinforcements are creating conditions for infantry movement and offensive operations," Muzychuk said.

He noted that the invaders are increasing their use of strike drones to destroy the Ukrainian defensive positions after artillery strikes, setting the stage for infantry advances.

"The enemy is conducting combined assaults using large numbers of infantry and exploiting adverse weather conditions. They employ reconnaissance tactics and small infantry groups despite suffering heavy losses. In the Pokrovsk sector alone, Russian infantry casualties can range from 200 to 500 soldiers per day, yet they continue deploying assault groups," Muzychuk added.

Russia's strategy aims to complicate Ukraine’s defenses and push toward Pokrovsk and its southern flank.

"This sector has seen the most combat engagements in the past 24 hours as our defenders repelled 11 attacks, mainly near the villages of Promin, Lysikivka, Udachne, and the southern outskirts of Pokrovsk," Muzychuk concluded.

As reported by Ukrinform, due to intense Ukrainian defensive fire, the Russian forces abandoned their forward positions near one of the settlements in the Kupiansk sector.
