Police eliminate shooter who opened fire on people in Kyiv — Interior Minister

The man who opened fire on people in Kyiv has been eliminated by police.

Ukraine's Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

According to Klymenko, special forces of the KORD stormed a store where the attacker had taken people hostage. The suspect also fired at police officers during the operation.

Negotiators had previously attempted to establish contact with him.

The number of victims is still being clarified.

As previously reported, an unknown man opened fire on people in the Holosiivskyi District, resulting in deaths and injuries.
