Three police officers killed in Russian airstrike on Sumy region

Three patrol police officers were killed as a result of a Russian airstrike on Yunakivka community in Sumy region during the night of January 31 to February 1.

This was reported by the Sumy Regional Military Administration (RMA) on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"During the night, the enemy launched an airstrike on Yunakivka community. As a result, two patrol police officers on duty in the area were killed," the statement reads.

Later, the body of a third officer was found under the rubble.

The officers were killed while protecting civilians and maintaining order in border areas that face daily shelling by Russian forces.

As reported by Ukrinform, during the night of January 31 to February 1, Russians attacked Sumy region five times, with 12 explosions recorded.
