Russian shelling injures three residents of Donetsk region

The Russian army injured three residents of Ukraine's eastern Donetsk region on Saturday, January 27.

Vadym Filashkin, head of the region's military administration, said this in a post on Facebook, Ukrinform reports.

"On January 27, the Russians wounded three residents of the Donetsk region - in Myrnohrad," he said.

In addition, according to Filashkin, "it was possible to receive information about five people who were killed by shelling in [Donetsk region's] New York on January 15."

As of 08:00 on January 28, the total number of those killed by Russian forces in the Donetsk region has reached 1,846. The figure does not take into account Mariupol and Volnovakha, Filashkin said.

In New York, Donetsk region, emergency workers completed clearing the rubble of a three-story building that was struck with Russian guided bombs on January 15. The remains of the bodies of all five victims were found under the rubble.
