Prosecutor General: today's shelling killed 12 people, injured over 100

As of now, 12 people have been killed in today's shelling of Ukraine, and more than 100 people have been injured.

Prosecutor General Andriy Kostin reported this on the social network X, Ukrinform reported.

"According to updated data, we already know about 12 people killed as a result of today's enemy shelling. Most people died in the Kharkiv region - eight. Among them are an eight-year-old girl and her mother. Three people were killed in the Kherson region, and one person was killed in the Dnipro region," Kostin wrote.

He added that more than 100 residents of these regions were injured, including more than 60 in Kharkiv.

Rescue operations in Kharkiv are still ongoing, the Prosecutor General noted.

As reported, on the morning of January 23, Russian troops launched a massive missile attack on Ukraine. The General Staff clarified the number of launched and downed missiles - 22 out of 44 missiles were destroyed by the Ukrainian Air Defense Forces.
