Russians attack dams and build up reserves in Pokrovsk direction, military sources say
According to Ukrinform, this was reported on Facebook by the 4th Operational Brigade “Rubizh” of the National Guard of Ukraine.
"No active assault operations have been recorded this week. Due to unfavorable weather conditions, enemy movements have been reduced to a minimum, but we are seeing signs of personnel buildup. It is likely that after heavy losses during the autumn-winter campaign, the invaders are preparing reserves for an offensive during the “green season,” hoping to move covertly from our drones in dense vegetation," the report said.
At the same time, the enemy resorted to attacks on dams in adjacent territories, against the backdrop of a natural rise in water levels.
As the military emphasizes, the Russians' goal is to flood Ukrainian defensive lines, positions of the UAV, EW, and artillery units.
“With these actions, the invaders seek to complicate Ukrainian logistics as much as possible and make it impossible for the Defense Forces to maneuver quickly when repelling future attacks,” the statement said.
The units of the Rubizh Brigade are adapting to the changing situation and continue to strengthen their defensive positions despite Russian attempts to change the landscape in their favor.
The situation remains dynamic and complex, with the enemy throwing all its forces into advancing under the cover of bad weather.
As reported by Ukrinform, Verkhovna Rada Human Rights Commissioner Dmytro Lubinets sent letters to the UN demanding that the Russians' destruction of a dam near Kostyantynivka in Donetsk Oblast be recorded and that a clear international legal assessment of the Russian Federation's actions be provided.
