In Kharkiv, 11 thousand consumers left without electricity due to shelling

As a result of the morning shelling of Kharkiv, transformer substations were damaged; 11 thousand consumers were left without electricity.

The Ministry of Energy reported this on Telegram, Ukrinform reported.

"Due to enemy attacks on Kharkiv, transformer substations, a distribution center, and cable lines were damaged. Almost 11 thousand consumers were left without electricity. Restoration works are ongoing," the statement said.

The shelling also caused power outages in the region. Restoration works are underway.

In addition, 12 houses in the regional center were cut off from the gas supply due to a hit to a gas pipeline. No one was killed or injured. Gas workers are working to repair the damage.

Over the past day, power companies in the Kharkiv region reconnected 24 consumers who had been disconnected earlier.

As reported, crews of the Kharkiv branch of Gas Distribution Networks of Ukraine LLC stopped the fire on the gas pipeline after the Russian shelling of Kharkiv.

On the morning of January 23, Russians launched two waves of attacks on Kharkiv. The entrance of a residential building was destroyed, and civilian infrastructure was damaged. The Russian troops used Kh-22 missiles.
