
Russian missile barrage kills two in Ukraine Monday morning
That’s according to the Deputy Head of the Ukrainian President’s Office, Oleksiy Kuleba, who reported the news via Telegram, Ukrinform saw.
"A massive missile attack on Kryvyi Rih and the city district. Unfortunately, one woman was killed... One person was injured. Explosions were also heard in Khmelnytskyi region. Emergency services are working at the scene. Unfortunately, one person died," the statement reads.
Kuleba noted that the situation in the Kryvyi Rih district is complicated by adverse weather. In Kryvyi Rih, there are multiple interruptions in power grids, blackouts, and electric commute transport disruptions. Repair teams are working on the ground.
He also noted that in the town of Novomoskovsk, the strike injured 24 people, including five children. Households and apartment blocks sustained damage.
Civil infrastructure facilities were hit in Kharkiv. Emergency services are working at the scenes to eliminate the consequences of the strike. Two people were injured.
In the town of Zmiiv, two people were rescued from under the rubble. The rescue operations are still ongoing.
Missiles hit residential areas in Zaporizhzhia. As of now, four people are reported injured. They are being provided with medical assistance.
As Ukrinform reported earlier, Russia launched cruise and ballistic missiles at four regions of Ukraine in the early hours of Monday, January 8.
