Zelensky thanks partners for decision to provide Ukraine with F-16 jets

According to Ukrinform, Zelensky announced this on the X social media platform (formerly known as Twitter).

"I thank [Dutch] Prime Minister Mark Rutte, his entire team, and the Dutch people for the decision on F-16s for Ukraine. Our warriors will receive 42 great combat aircraft. I thank [Danish] Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen and the entire country of Denmark, as well as each and every Dane who has Ukraine at their hearts, for their extremely practical assistance. 19 jets," Zelensky wrote.

He also thanked U.S. President Joseph Biden, both parties in the U.S. Congress and all people of the United States for their unwavering support and positive steps for the fighter jet coalition.

On August 20, the Netherlands and Denmark announced the decision to transfer F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine. Ukrainian pilots and engineers have already started learning how to use these aircraft.
