War update: Defense forces hit eight enemy artillery systems, two EW stations

This is stated in the report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine published on Facebook.

"At night, the Russian Federation launched a missile attack on the city of Kharkiv. Information about the consequences of this terrorist attack is currently being clarified. Over the past day, the enemy launched four missile strikes, 42 airstrikes, and 76 MLRS attacks on the positions of our troops and populated settlements. As a result of Russian terrorist attacks, unfortunately, civilians were killed and injured, residential buildings were destroyed," the report says.

More than 20 combat engagements took place over the past day.

In Volyn and Polissia directions, the operational situation has not changed significantly.

In Sivershchyna and Slobozhanshchyna directions, the enemy fired mortars and artillery at more than 40 settlements, in particular, Senkivka and Buchky in Chernihiv region; Seredyna-Buda, Prohres in Sumy region; Vovchansk and Budarky in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian soldiers hold the defense firmly, successfully repelled enemy attacks east of Berestove in Kharkiv region. Fyholivka, Novomlynsk, Zapadne, Kindrashivka, Kupyansk, Kyslivka in Kharkiv region came under enemy artillery and mortar attacks.

In Lyman direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Bilohorivka, Luhansk region; Ivanivka, Serebrianka, Spirne in Donetsk region. Nevske and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Torske, Spirne, Berestove, Rozdolivka in Donetsk region were hit with artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy launched airstrikes in the areas of Klishchiyivka, Bila Hora, and Kostiantynivka. More than 20 settlements, including Vasiukivka, Klishchiivka, Predtechyne, Kostiantynivka, Bila Hora, Pivnichne in Donetsk region, came under enemy artillery fire.

In Avdiyivka direction, the enemy launched an airstrike near Avdiyivka. More than 15 settlements, including Oleksandropil, Novobakhmutivka, Novokalynove, Avdiyivka, Sieverne, Netaylove, Nevelske in Donetsk region, were hit with artillery.

In Maryinka direction, the defense forces continue to hold back the advance of Russian troops in the areas of Maryinka and Pobieda. The enemy shelled more than 10 settlements, including Krasnohorivka, Maryinka, Pobieda, Novomykhailivka, Heorhiyivka, and Hostre in Donetsk region.

In Shakhtarske direction, the enemy launched an airstrike near Staromayorske. Blahodatne, Vuhledar, Prechystivka in Donetsk region were struck.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy focuses its main efforts on preventing the further advance of our troops. An airstrike was launched near Zmiyivka in Kherson region. More than 25 settlements, including Levadne, Huliaypole, Zaliznychne, Bilohirya, Kamyanske in Zaporizhzhia region; Nikopol in Dnipropetrovsk region; Dmytrivka, Beryslav, Vesele, Antonivka, Kherson, Berehove, Veletenske in Kherson region came under enemy artillery fire. At the same time, the defense forces of Ukraine continue to conduct an offensive operation in Melitopol and Berdiansk directions and gain a foothold on the achieved boundaries.

As the General Staff noted, Russia continues to illegally integrate the temporarily occupied territories into its information environment. For example, servicemen of the occupying forces arrived in the settlement of Mylove in Luhansk region to connect the city's communications and Internet network to Russian operators – they are laying cables from the territory of the Russian Federation.

"Over the past day, the aviation of the defense forces launched seven strikes on enemy personnel concentration areas. Also, our defenders destroyed four enemy Shakhed-136 combat UAVs and four reconnaissance UAVs of the operational-tactical level. Missile and artillery units struck an enemy anti-aircraft missile system, eight artillery systems on firing positions, two electronic warfare stations, and two personnel clusters," the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine concluded.
