Commanders of Ukraine’s Navy, U.S. 6th Fleet talk security situation in Black Sea region
That’s according to the Ukrainian Naval Command press service, Ukrinform reports.
"The Commander of the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Vice Admiral Oleksii Neizhpapa, held a video conference call with the Commander of the 6th Fleet of the U.S. Navy, Vice Admiral Thomas Ishee. The chief of the national fleet briefed his counterpart on the latest developments in the Black Sea region. The two commanders discussed the security of the Black Sea ports, importance of the grain initiative, and efforts to increase the combat capabilities of our Navy," the reports said.
As noted, the commander of the Ukrainian Navy expressed his gratitude to Vice-Admiral Thomas Ishee and the people of the United States of America for their strong support for Ukraine in the war against Russian invaders.
As Ukrinform reported, Commander of Ukraine’s Naval Forces Oleksiy Neizhpapa earlier discussed the security situation in the Black Sea with the commanders of the Romanian and Bulgarian navies, Mihai Panait and Kiril Mikhaylov.
