Russia keeps missile carrier with five Kalibrs in Black Sea
Natalia Humeniuk, the head of the Joint Press Center of the Southern Operational Command, said this on the air of the national telethon 'United News', according to Ukrinform.
"There is still a small missile ship at sea that carried out the attack using three missiles, now it has five on board," she informed.
Humeniuk said that it was likely that other missile carriers could "pull up" to this one, as they were being equipped, replenished supplies at their base points, and could be put on combat duty within 2-3 hours.
At the same time, the spokeswoman said that Russian ships are not currently active in navigation, as they "realize that the territorial sea is heavily mined."
According to her, the main navigation of Russian forces at sea is now focused on looting what can be taken out of the Azov ports, including grain.
"If military targets are detected heading for Russian ports, we know what to do, we have a corresponding order and will react in accordance with the decision," emphasized Humeniuk.
As reported, starting from July 21, 2023, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine will consider all vessels sailing in the Black Sea in the direction of the seaports of the Russian Federation and Ukrainian seaports located in the territory of Ukraine temporarily occupied by Russia as military targets.
