Eight-six Russian occupiers have been killed and 162 injured in the Tavria direction over the past day.

The relevant statement was made by Spokesperson for the Joint Press Center of Ukraine’s Defense Forces in the Tavria direction Valerii Shershen during a nationwide telethon, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“Over the past day, Ukraine’s missile and artillery units have completed more than 1,550 fire missions. The enemy’s personnel losses are as follows: 86 killed and 162 injured,” Shershen told.

Additionally, Ukrainian electronic warfare units captured two enemy air targets, namely the Orlan-10 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs), and destroyed 25 Russian ammunition and military equipment units.

According to Shershen, Russian troops were most active in the Marinka directions, where they made 17 unsuccessful assault attempts.

“Previously, Russians practiced ‘meat assaults’. Now, apparently, they have started to run out of personnel and sometimes send small groups, up to 8-10 people, to storm. At the same time, they also try to protect the equipment,” Shershen noted.

A reminder that, between February 24, 2022 and July 5, 2023, Russia’s total combat losses in Ukraine reached about 231,700 troops.
