Ukraine expects to be able to mobilize sufficient funds at the recovery conference in London.

Denys Shmyhal, Prime Minister of Ukraine, said this during a speech at the conference, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

"We expect that we will be able to mobilize enough funds at this conference in London," the Prime Minister said.

Shmyhal emphasized that a mechanism for regular interaction with international partners has already been established. This coordination takes place through a donor platform.

Ukraine has already developed projects that are essential for the survival of the state during the war. The World Bank estimates that Ukraine will need at least $14.5 billion for rapid recovery in 2023. But after the Russian terrorist attack on the Kakhovka hydroelectric power plant, the urgent needs have increased. All in all, Ukraine will need at least $411 billion over the next decade to rebuild what the enemy has destroyed.

According to Shmyhal, government officials and domestic and foreign experts are working on an accurate assessment of the damage caused by the aggressor.

The Prime Minister also noted that transparency and openness will play a key role in the implementation of projects related to the reconstruction and restoration of Ukraine.

"Speaking about transparency and the architecture of recovery, we often talk about accountability and transparency. It is very important that these are not just words. Rebuilding Ukraine must mean transparency. Last time, we made a presentation of the DREAM Digital Ecosystem for Infrastructure Recovery Management. It will allow us to control the stages of all reconstruction projects. More than 5,000 places for reconstruction have already been registered on this platform," Shmyhal said.

According to him, our state intends not only to rebuild what has been destroyed, but also to make it better.

"It is important to have a special architecture for recovery and special platforms for cooperation. Last year, we created a special fund to deal with the consequences of the war, and various departments have a representative of the Deputy Prime Minister for recovery. We are also actively working with regional authorities. This is all part of the recovery architecture," the Prime Minister added.

As reported, in May, Ukraine launched the state electronic ecosystem DREAM. It enables Ukrainians to control every stage of the life cycle of a recovery project, from registering damage and destruction to raising funds, procurement, and construction.

The International Conference on the Reconstruction of Ukraine will help coordinate the efforts of the Government of Ukraine, the European Commission, and other international partners to quickly rebuild Ukraine, which should begin before the war ends.
