Five Russian UAVs destroyed in southern Ukraine

Ukraine’s air defense units have destroyed five Russian unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions.

The relevant statement was made by the South Operational Command on Facebook, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“On May 20, 2023, in the Mykolaiv and Kherson regions, the South Operational Command’s air defense forces and systems destroyed five enemy UAVs: three Lancet loitering munitions, one Merlin-VR reconnaissance drone, and one Orlan-10 reconnaissance drone,” the report states.

The South Operational Command posted the photographs of the fragments of Russia’s Lancet loitering munitions that had been downed.

A reminder that, on the night of May 20, 2023, Ukraine’s Air Force destroyed 20 Shahed-136/131 suicide drones and one Merlin-VR reconnaissance drone.
