Therefore, the issue of personal security of Ukraine’s military-political leadership is now of strategic importance, Deputy Defense Minister Hanna Maliar told the national telethon, Ukrinform reports.

"Over the past two weeks, we recorded three enemy fake stories alleging the ‘deaths’ of our commanders. In chronological order, they were related to (Territorial Defense Force Commander Ihor – ed.) Tantsiura, (Chief of the General Staff Oleksandr – ed.) Syrskyi, and (Commander in Chief Valeriy – ed.) Zaluzhnyi. On the one hand, it's easy to check and refute such reports. Actually, that's what’s been done. On the other hand, you have to understand that Russians are prone to false starts, and often their information front forces release reports without verifying them directly with executors," said Maliar.

According to the senior defense official, the objective reality is that while the war is raging, the enemy will be interested in exterminating our military-political leadership so the issue of their personal security is currently of strategic importance.

Earlier, the adviser to the head of the President's Office, Mykhailo Podolyak, said that President Volodymyr Zelensky had already survived more than ten attempts on his life.
