Media reports about Ukraine's counteroffensive not helping military - Zelensky

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has said he believes that reports in the media about an upcoming Ukrainian counteroffensive do not help the Ukrainian military, but they will not affect Ukraine's plans.

He said this in an interview with representatives of Finnish, Swedish, Danish and Norwegian media outlets, according to Ukrinform.

"The counteroffensive depends not only on combat vehicles. Combat vehicles or armored vehicles are one of the elements of an offensive operation. Sometimes, as I told you, there are information threats. And I will tell you frankly, sometimes there is information that is published, unfortunately, not only in the Russian press, and I believe that this information is not helping. To be honest, will such information stop us? No, it won't! Even if it is published every day. All this will not stop us, we will still go forward and definitely win," he said.

At the same time, he noted that regardless of whether this information is false or true, its dissemination "does not help."

Zelensky also said he believes in Ukrainian soldiers, and Ukraine's task is to move forward.

"To say that the Russians will immediately run after the beginning of our counteroffensive... Well, I wish there would be fewer victims among them," he added.

Ukrainian Defense Minister Oleksii Reznikov said earlier that expectations from the counteroffensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces are "somewhat overheated."

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba stated that it would possible to talk about the Ukrainian counteroffensive as the final battle only after it is over and if it leads to the complete liberation of Ukrainian territory.
