Ukrainian Air Force five times strikes Russian manpower clusters overnight Mon
This is stated in the morning report by the General Staff of the Armed Forces, Ukrinform reports.
"Four enemy UAVs were shot down (two Orlan-10s, an Elder reconnaissance UAV, and a Lancet kamikaze drone). Rocket and artillery units hit a control point, an anti-aircraft missile system, a manpower cluster, a fuel depot, and two ammunition depots," the statement said.
The Headquarters also notes that over the past day, Russian occupiers launched 25 missile strikes using S-300 air defense systems at the peaceful cities of Zaporizhia and Komyshuvakha in Zaporizhzhia region, and Snihurivka in Mykolaiv region; as well as 42 air strikes.
"The enemy fired 46 times using multiple launch rocket systems at the positions of our troops and infrastructure. Civilians were killed and wounded, apartment blocks and private residential buildings, civilian educational facilities, hospitals, churches, and other civilian infrastructure were destroyed and damaged," the military said.
The Russian aggressor continues to employ terror tactics so the likelihood of missile and air strikes throughout Ukraine remains high.
The enemy suffers considerable losses but continues to focus its main efforts on conducting offensive operations in the Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Maryinka directions. They actively use tactical and army aviation in the said areas. Bakhmut and Maryinka remain at the epicenter of firefights. Over the last day, Ukrainian troops repelled over 60 enemy attacks in these areas of the frontline.
No signs of enemy offensive groups being formed were detected in the Volyn, Polissya, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna sectors.
A comprehensive inspection of the combat readiness of the Belarus armed forces is underway.
Over the past day, Russian invaders fired at the settlements of Svesa, Shalyhine, Bunyakine, Bilopillia, Iskryskivshchyna, Shpil, Volfine, Yunakivka, Basivka, and Velyka Pysarivka in Sumy region, as well as Veterynarne, Neskuchne, Ohirtseve, Vovchansk, Bochkove, Mala Vovcha, Zemlianky, and Topoli in Kharkiv region.
In the Kupiansk sector, the enemy fired at Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, Zakhidne, and Kindrashivka in Kharkiv region.
In the Lyman sector, the enemy conducted unsuccessful offensive operations in the area north of Hryhorivka and near Spirne. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, and Bilohorivka in Luhansk region, and Ivanivka, Spirne, and Torske in Donetsk region came under artillery fire.
The enemy continues to conduct offensive operations in the Bakhmut sector.
Fighting for the city of Bakhmut continues. The enemy conducted unsuccessful attacks in the areas of Khromove and Ivanivka. Vasyukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Novodmytrivka, Pivnichne, Pleshchyivka, and Shcherbynivka in Donetsk region suffered from enemy shelling.
In the Avdiivka sector, the enemy undertook offensive efforts in the areas of Novokalynove, Severne, Vodyane, Pervomaiske, and Nevelske, with no success. They fired at more than 15 localities. Among them are Novokalynove, Avdiivka, Tonenke, Vodiane, Pervomaiske, and Netailove.
In the Marinka sector, Ukrainian defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks near Marinka, Donetsk region. At the same time, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Heorhiivka, Maksymilianivka, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka came under enemy fire.
The Russians made no offensive action in the Shakhtarsk sector yesterday. They fired at the localities of Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Novoukrainka, Velyka Novosilka, and Vremivka in Donetsk region.
In the Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy is on a defense. During the day, they opened fire at more than 40 localities. Among them are Vremivka and Novopil in Donetsk region; Chervone, Charivne, Orikhiv, Novopavlivka, and Stepove in Zaporizhzhia region; Zolota Balka, Kozatske, Lvove and Mykilske in Kherson region, as well as the city of Kherson.
