Ukraine’s Air Force launches 11 strikes on enemy clusters

This is stated in the report of the General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine as of 06:00, April 16, published on Facebook.

Over the past day, the enemy launched 28 airstrikes, six missile strikes, and 38 MLRS attacks on the positions of Ukrainian troops and the civilian infrastructure of populated settlements.

As noted, the enemy suffers considerable losses but does not abandon its plans to occupy Ukraine’s territory. The invaders continue to focus their main efforts on conducting offensive operations in Lyman, Bakhmut, Avdiivka, and Marinka directions. Bakhmut and Marinka remain at the epicenter of military operations. Over the past day, the Ukrainian troops repelled more than 60 enemy attacks on the indicated sections of the front.

In Volyn, Polissia, Sivershchyna, and Slobozhanshchyna directions, no signs of the formation of enemy offensive groups were detected. Over the past day, the enemy shelled the settlements of Buniakyne, Iskryskivshchyna, Volfyne, Shpyl, Basivka, Yunakivka, Popivka in Sumy region; Kozacha Lopan, Hatyshche, Vovchansk, Vovchanski Khutory in Kharkiv region.

In Kupyansk direction, the enemy mined the territory in the areas of four settlements and shelled Novomlynsk, Dvorichna, and Berestove in Kharkiv region.

In Lyman direction, the enemy carried out unsuccessful offensive operations near the settlements of Dibrova and Bilohorivka. Stelmakhivka, Nevske, Bilohorivka in Luhansk region; Ivanivka, Torske, Spirne in Donetsk region were hit by artillery.

In Bakhmut direction, the enemy continues to go on the offensive. The battles for the city of Bakhmut do not stop. The enemy launched an assault near the settlement of Khromove but was unsuccessful. Vasiukivka, Minkivka, Orikhovo-Vasylivka, Novomarkove, Hryhorivka, Bakhmut, Ivanivske, Chasiv Yar, Stupochky, Kostiantynivka, Dyliyivka, New York in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Avdiivka direction, the enemy carried out offensive operations in the areas of Avdiivka and Sieverne in Donetsk region but had no success. The invaders hit more than 15 settlements near the contact line, including Keramik, Stepove, Berdychi, Avdiivka, Pervomaiske, and Karlivka in Donetsk region.

In Marinka direction, our defenders repelled numerous enemy attacks in the area of Marinka, Donetsk region. At the same time, Heorhiivka, Marinka, Kurakhove, Pobieda, and Novomykhailivka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Shakhtarsk direction, the enemy did not conduct offensive operations over the past day. Vuhledar, Prechystivka, Zolota Nyva, Velika Novosilka in Donetsk region came under enemy fire.

In Zaporizhzhia and Kherson directions, the enemy continues to hold the defense. The invaders hit the settlements near the contact line, including Vremivka, Novopil in Donetsk region; Olhivske, Malynivka, Huliaypole, Charivne, Mala Tokmachka, Novodanylivka, Orikhiv in Zaporizhzhia region; Antonivka, Zelenivka, Kherson in Kherson region. Civilians were killed.

Over the past day, the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine launched 11 strikes on enemy personnel and military equipment clusters and three more on anti-aircraft missile systems.

A Russian Su-25 aircraft was shot down.

The missile and artillery units struck three enemy manpower, weapons, and military equipment clusters, an area of artillery concentration, a radar station, two electronic warfare stations, an anti-aircraft missile system, and an ammunition depot.
