The year of the Great War was imprinted in thousands of images – silent and at the same time undeniable evidence of Russia’s crimes and the resilience of the Ukrainians.

Ukrinform is offering a selection of iconic photos for the anniversary of Russia’s full-scale invasion of Ukraine.

The pictures show the destruction, pain, and death that the Russian army brought to Ukrainian soil. And at the same time, these photos portray the strength, steadfastness, and perseverance of Ukrainians who defend their home from the enemy onslaught.
