Commander-in-Chief Zaluzhnyi thanks Defense Forces for extraordinary efforts to liberate Kherson

Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi has thanked the Defense Forces’ units for their extraordinary efforts to liberate the city of Kherson from Russian occupiers.

The relevant statement was made by Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valerii Zaluzhnyi on Telegram, an Ukrinform correspondent reports.

“I would like to thank the Defense Forces’ units for their extraordinary efforts to liberate Kherson! The operation had lasted since early September and ended with our success. However, it has its price. Eternal memory to the fallen brothers and sisters,” Zaluzhnyi wrote.

In his words, Ukrainians know who and what they are fighting for.

A reminder that, on November 11, 2022, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky announced that Ukraine had been regaining control over the city of Kherson.

On November 12, 2022, the Office of the President of Ukraine stated that Kherson Regional Military Administration Head Yaroslav Yanushevych, the National Police of Ukraine and the Security Service of Ukraine had resumed work in the city of Kherson and the Kherson region.
