Blasts in Ternopil region leave several locals injured, including children

As a result of explosions that rocked the area in the Chortkiv district, Ternopil region, during an air raid alert late Saturday, a number of casualties were reported, including children.

This was announced on Telegram by the head of the Ternopil Regional Military Administration Volodymyr Trush, Ukrinform reports.

"On the situation in the Chortkiv district: fortunately, no one was killed. Throughout the night, we provided assistance to those injured, including children," the statement said.

Trush noted that work is underway to eliminate the destruction and fix the damaged civilian property.

More details about casualties and the scale of damage will be announced at a briefing at 10:00.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, at about 22:00 local time on June 11, explosions were heard in the Chortkiv district of Ternopil region during an air raid alert.
