Ukraine wins 22 medals at 2018 Winter Paralympics

Ukraine has occupied fourth place by the total number of medals won at the 2018 Winter Paralympics, which ended in Pyeongchang (South Korea) on March 18.

Ukrainian Paralympians took 22 medals, in particular seven gold, seven silver and eight bronze medals, Ukrinform reports.

The national team ranked sixth in team standings, behind the United States (13 gold, 15 silver, eight bronze medals), Neutral Paralympic Athletes (NPA) (8, 10, 6), Canada (8, 4, 16), France (7, 8, 5) and Germany (7, 8, 4). In general, representatives of 26 countries out of 49 participating teams won medals at the 2018 Winter Paralympics.

Four years ago, Ukraine was fourth in team standings and second by the total number of medals - 25 (5, 9, 11).

The next Paralympic Winter Games will be held in Beijing (China) from March 4 to March 13, 2022.
