“I cannot give you a date or location, but I can confirm that we are working on a meeting between President Zelensky and Prime Minister Magyar, and we are receiving positive signals that this meeting may take place in the near future,” Tykhyi said.

He added that the agenda is “quite obvious”—the normalization of bilateral relations.
According to the Foreign Ministry spokesperson, progress has already been made on the most sensitive issues, particularly regarding national minorities, and Budapest supports the opening of the first cluster of negotiations on Ukraine’s accession to the EU. Kyiv also notes a shift in Hungary’s position on certain issues regarding support for Ukraine, sanctions, and condemnation of Russian attacks.
Tykhyi also reported that Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha is currently actively working to reinstate certain Russian citizens to the EU sanctions lists, from which they were removed at the request of Viktor Orbán’s government.
As reported by Ukrinform, Hungarian Prime Minister Péter Magyar announced that a comprehensive agreement had been reached with Ukraine regarding the expansion of linguistic, educational, cultural, and political rights for the Hungarian minority, which numbers about 100,000 people.
Foreign Minister Andrii Sybiha stated that Ukraine and Hungary are turning a new page in their relations, one based on mutual respect and trust.
