Documentary “Hell Jumper” about Ukraine war wins International Emmy

The film centers on the story of 28-year-old British volunteer Chris Perry, who, along with friends, went to Ukraine and joined a civilian group helping evacuate people from conflict zones and delivering humanitarian aid.
At the beginning of 2023, Chris died alongside another volunteer Andrew Bagshaw, as they tried to help evacuate a woman from an area of heavy bombardment in eastern Ukraine, near Soledar.
Hell Jumper was produced by Expectation TV, directed by Paddy Wivell.
The film premiered at this year’s BAFTA ceremony and also received two awards at Prix Italia 2025.
As reported by Ukrinform, the American Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences has published the official qualification lists of films eligible for consideration at the 98th Academy Awards, including the film by Ukrainian director Mstyslav Chernov, 2000 Meters to Andriivka.
