Government approves mechanism for UAH 1,000 payments under Winter Support program – Svyrydenko
Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.
"We are preparing to launch the government Winter Support program. Its key element is a one-off payment of UAH 1,000 for every citizen currently in Ukraine. Today, the government approved the mechanism for providing assistance to citizens," she said.
Svyrydenko noted that "starting this Saturday, November 15, until December 24, 2025, every Ukrainian will be able to submit an application. Assistance can be applied for both for oneself and for a child."
Funds can be received by submitting an application in one of two ways:
Via the Diia app. After processing, the funds will be credited to the National Cashback card. They can be spent on utility services, medicines, Ukrainian-made products, postal services, books, charity, and donations to the Armed Forces.
At a Ukrposhta branch. The payment will be credited to a special account. Funds received in this way can be spent on Ukrainian-made goods at Ukrposhta branches, as well as on utility payments and donations.
"The funds can be used until June 30, 2026 – at a convenient time for you," she emphasized.
The goal of the Winter Support program is to provide state support to as many people as possible ahead of winter, help pay utility bills, and cover basic needs.
As Ukrinform reported, the program providing a one-time payment of UAH 6,500 under the Winter Support package for the most vulnerable citizens will cover over 660,000 people.
