Intelligence and MFA evacuate 31 Ukrainian citizens from Iran

On June 24, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, evacuated 31 Ukrainian citizens from Iran.

That is according to the DIU press service, as reported by Ukrinform.

“On June 24, 2025, acting on the instructions of President Volodymyr Zelensky, the Defence Intelligence of Ukraine, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, evacuated 31 Ukrainian citizens from the Islamic Republic of Iran. Among those evacuated were 5 men, 12 women, and 14 children,” the statement said.

The evacuees transited through the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Republic of Moldova and are currently en route to Kyiv.

This marks the final stage of a broader evacuation effort by Ukrainian intelligence and diplomats to evacuate citizens from high-risk areas in the Middle East, including Israel and Iran.

Just a day earlier, 176 people were evacuated from Israel, 133 of whom were Ukrainian nationals.
