Ukrainian soldiers fighting on the front lines are not asking the U.S. for money, but pleading for tanks, fighter jets, and air defense capabilities to shoot down Russian drones that are still shelling civilian buildings and killing people.

This was stated on X by U.S. President Donald Trump's spiritual advisor, Pastor Mark Burns, who visited Bucha, Irpin, and Borodianka in Kyiv region on Monday, March 31.

"These soldiers on the front lines are not asking for money. They are asking for 1,000 tanks, 300 F-35s, anti-air weapons to shoot down the drones that still fire at civilian buildings, and killing people," he said wrote in an emotional post.

Burns also recalled that it was President Trump who had approved the supply of Javelins to Ukraine “instead of pillows”.

President Trump “will bring an end to this war. Everyone here in Ukraine is thanking President Trump and America for standing with Ukraine,” the pastor added.

He also spoke about the consequences of Russian aggression in Ukraine.

“20,000 children have been kidnapped and stolen to Russia. 300 women were recently raped, as reported by multi-faith religious leaders. 700 religious buildings have been destroyed on purpose because they are often the only source of hope offered to the Ukrainian people. Innocent non-soldiers shot in the back of the head with their hands tied behind their backs,” he recalled.
