Russian media reports that Poland provoked a diplomatic scandal when it did not allow the security service of the South African president and journalists to disembark from the plane in Warsaw is a lie.

The press service of the Center for Strategic Communications and Information Security at the Ministry of Culture and Information Policy of Ukraine reported this on Telegram, according to Ukrinform.

"It's a lie: the Poles provoked a diplomatic scandal when they did not allow the security service of the South African president and journalists to get off the plane in Warsaw. This delegation was on its way to Kyiv on a peacekeeping mission, so Poland's action is humiliating. Russian media wrote about this," the statement said.

It is noted that, in fact, the members of the delegation violated the rules of entering Poland - they had weapons for which they did not have permission.

"The Polish Border Guard Service said that the members of the delegation were allowed to leave the plane, but they decided to stay on board," the Center for Strategic Communications said.

Stanisław Żaryn, the Government Commissioner for the Security of Information Space in Poland, noted that if the delegation had all the permits, there would have been no problems.

As reported, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa said that the country's authorities are discussing Russian President Vladimir Putin's participation in the BRICS summit in August, despite the fact that South Africa is obliged to arrest him under a warrant from the International Criminal Court.
