Olena Zelenska Foundation will help rehabilitate 200 children this year.

That's according to the Telegram channel of Ukraine's First Lady Olena Zelenska, Ukrinform reports.

"Gen.Camp is an initiative of the public organization Gen.Ukrainian, which is being implemented with the support of my Foundation. Currently, the third shift of the camp, located in the Carpathians, is underway, and the first two worked last year in Spain," she said.

The first lady said that psychologists were restoring the psyche of young Ukrainians using their own unique methods, which, according to her, will become part of large-scale development important for the entire country.

Zelenska stressed that while the war continues, children face horror every day, which simply should not exist in the civilized world.

"This year, quality rehabilitation will become a reality for 200 children with the assistance of the Foundation. The children's psyche is flexible and capable of almost 100% recovery if it is helped, say camp experts. Therefore, our task is to make maximum efforts so that these children have a new reality - brighter, happier, as it should be for every child in the world," Zelenska said.

She also shared the story of a participant of the Gen.Camp camp in the Carpathians - 13-year-old Ania who, together with her parents, came under fire in the town of Serhiivka in the Odesa region in July 2022 and saw with her own eyes how they died, while her parents tried to protect her, hiding her between two walls, and the girl survived.

Zelenska said that now Ania is actually "reviving" after what she experienced, thanks to the efforts of mental rehabilitation specialists, she recalled that she loved to dance before the war.
