Cyprus has introduced mandatory PCR testing for COVID-19 for all unvaccinated tourists arriving in the country.

That’s according to the Ukrainian health ministry’s official Telegram channel Coronavirus_info, as reported by Ukrinform.

"Starting this week, unvaccinated passengers must hold a negative PCR test (returned 72 hours prior to crossing in), and upon their arrival to undergo another PCR test. Pending test results (for three hours), citizens remain in self-isolation," said the statement.

According to the Foreign Ministry, as of July 26, Covishield is not on the list of vaccines allowing foreigners to travel to Cyprus without a mandated PCR test.

Vaccinated passengers may cross in without additional tests required if they hold an internationally recognized certificate issued by public authorities.

The list of recognized vaccines and detailed conditions of entry are available on the website of Ukraine’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

As Ukrinform reported earlier, on July 21, the cost of PCR tests at Cyprus airports of Larnaca and Paphos decreased. That’s according to the updated Cyprus travel COVID-protocol.

According to the protocol, from July 21, PCR testing at Larnaca Airport costs EUR 15, and at Paphos Airport it’s EUR 19. This marks a significant drop from the previous prices (EUR 30 and EUR 35, respectively).
