World’s eighth electric guitar museum opens in Kyiv
“The world's eighth museum of electric guitars. It features unique exhibits from around the world (such as Fender Telecaster’52 and Gibson Les Paul Artisan),” VDNG’s director general Yevhen Mushkin posted on Facebook.
According to Mushkin, the museum collected 300 guitars made from the 1950s up to the present day.
The space is equipped with the latest sound and lighting equipment, special panels to create perfect acoustics. Concerts, theatrical performances, shows will be hosted here.
“Universum Guitars is our new resident partner that came up with and created this project at VDNG. It’s a unique project in the world. It turns out that these Ukrainian guys make cool electric guitars and amps used by the best musicians around the globe. Just imagine: there are about 2,500 guitar manufacturers in the world with Universum Guitars in top 10,” Mushkin wrote.
