The United Nations has raised more than $500 million over the past six years to provide humanitarian assistance to the victims of the Russian aggression in Ukraine.

"In 2014-2020, more than $500 million has been raised within the framework of the UN humanitarian response for humanitarian assistance to the affected population in Ukraine," the Government of Ukraine informed on Facebook.

In the context of overcoming the humanitarian consequences of Russia's aggression, Ukraine cooperates with UN agencies, in particular, the Office of the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, the UN Office for Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the United Nations Development Programme, the International Organization for Migration, the World Health Organization, the United Nations Population Fund, the UN Children's Fund, etc.

As the Government informs, according to the UN 2020 Ukraine Humanitarian Response Plan, it is planned to help more than 2 million citizens affected by the armed hostilities. As of October 22, $82 million was raised for these needs.

Pursuant to the UN Partnership Framework Program for 2018-2022, almost $675 million is expected to be raised to help Ukraine over five years. The assistance will be provided for economic development, social protection, democratic governance, as well as support for reconstruction in Donbas.
