Dmytro Hladirenko, saxophonist with Chernihiv City Palace of Culture, killed on front lines
According to Ukrinform, the Chernihiv City Palace of Culture announced this on its Facebook page.
“On March 12, while carrying out a combat mission, our colleague—orchestra musician and saxophonist Dmytro Hladirenko—was killed. He was not only a talented musician but also a sincere, kind-hearted person, devoted to his work and to Ukraine,” the statement reads.
Dmytro dreamed of returning to music after the war, picking up his saxophone, and taking the stage again to play for the audience.
"Even during his leave after being wounded, he couldn’t resist—he came to the orchestra hall and played. That day, his music once again filled the hall with life, warmth, and hope… The company’s staff extends its sincere condolences to his family, loved ones, and everyone who knew Dmytro. We share your pain and bow our heads in mourning. May the memory of the Hero live on,” the Palace of Culture noted.
As reported by Ukrinform, Ihor Liubymenko, an artist with the Honored Academic Song and Dance Ensemble of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, was killed in the war.
