Ukraine International Airlines (UIA) cancels series of flights to Italy and 15 other countries due to coronavirus outbreak. The frequency of domestic flights will also be reviewed.

"In response to the recommendations of governments of many countries to avoid mass action, limit the intensity of traffic between countries and the associated decline in air travel demand, the UIA cancels some flights to Italy, Switzerland, Greece, Germany, Israel, Spain, the United Kingdom, Lithuania, Azerbaijan, Turkey, Poland, Hungary, Austria, the Czech Republic, Finland, Denmark, as well as the second frequency of certain domestic flights within Ukraine," the UIA’s press service posted on Facebook.

Further decisions of the UIA in the context of the introduction of quarantine in Italy will be announced later, the press service added.

The UIA stated that passengers, who left their contact details when booking flights, will be informed of any changes in the schedule in advance. UIA recommends checking the status of flights a few days before departure on the airline's website or calling the airline's contact center.

As of March 10, 114,448 people have been infected with Covid-19 virus worldwide.
