Nearly 60% of Ukrainians trust Zelensky – Rating poll
The survey shows that the level of trust in other key politicians is negative. Some 26% of those polled trust Verkhovna Rada Chairman Dmytro Razumkov, whereas 44% do not trust him. Co-chairman of the Opposition Platform - For Life group Yuriy Boiko is trusted by 25% and distrusted by 56%, Holos party leader Svyatoslav Vakarchuk - 22% and 62% respectively, Prime Minister Oleksiy Honcharuk - 20% and 53%, Batkivshchyna party leader Yulia Tymoshenko - 20% and 73%, and former Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko - 15% and 78%.
At the same time, the ranking of political parties is led by the Servant of the People party, with support from 42.2% of those already decided and intending to vote. The Opposition Platform - For Life party is supported by 13.5% of those polled, European Solidarity by 9.5%, and Batkivshchyna by 8.1%. Support for other parties does not exceed 4%. About 16% failed to answer.
The survey was conducted by the Rating sociological group among Ukrainians aged 18 years and over through face-to-face interviews. A total of 2,500 respondents were interviewed. The poll's margin of error does not exceed 2%.
A nationwide survey conducted by the Ilko Kucheriv Democratic Initiatives Foundation and the Razumkov Center in December 2019 showed that only two politicians - Zelensky and Razumkov - had a positive confidence rating. Zelensky was trusted by 62% (not trusted by 31%), and Razumkov was trusted by 48% (not trusted by 38%).
